Insurance-Website uses a unique, weighted formula based on each subsidiary’s reported equity, complaint ratio and A.M. Best rating to help you better determine which ones provide the combination of financial strength and customer service necessary to help reduce the chances of encountering problems with a potential insurance claim. Final ratings are based on a scale from 0 to 10 with 0 being the worst possible rating and 10 the best. Parent company ratings are based on the aggregate averages of subsidiary companies whenever the parent company does not directly engage in insurance underwriting.
